Do not mourn the love you lost. The leaving was their gift to you – ’cause now you’re free to be the person you’re meant to be. Take this time to get to know you, again. Love yourself. Smile, even.
Trust me - it’ll be alright.

I’d like to take a minute to say a serious good bye to 2009, and wish everyone a joyous, prosperous, and safe New Year! Expect bigger and better things of yourself and others this year. Follow your heart. Walk in faith. Keep it positive. Be Blessed!
Thanks to the judge in his LAX paparazzi attack case, Kanye West will have all 3 charges against him dropped once he and his manager complete 50 hours of community service. According to Kanye’s lawyer – Kanye is already enrolled in much-needed anger managament classes.
Here’s hoping ‘Ye doesn’t allow his lack of self-control to derail his career, OR his life. Do good, Kanye…
In Lil’ Wayne news – Dwayne Carter has pleaded guilty to to gun possession, for a gun that was found on his tour bus. DNA tests were performed to tie the gun to Lil’ Wayne, who previously denied the charges.

Detroit, in all her splendor, makes the cover of TIME Magazine. Then there’s this.
*SIGH* If the auto plants were hiring today, and the police locked up all the drug dealers/users - who would change the mindset of the people whose lifestyle negatively impacts their neighbors quality of life?
It’s not the city that’s the problem.
…for the lack of posting these past two weeks. I broke my baby toe almost two weeks ago, and it STILL HURTS! I’m also a little overly dramatic serious crybaby, so you can imagine how much fun I’m having.
Please be patient with me.
Received an email this morning from reader DJ Ruby Baby, containing an open letter from former ‘Grand Hustle Muscle’ rapper AlfaMega to his former boss – incarcerated rapper and Grand Hustle CEO, T.I. .
If you recall - Tip unceremoniously fired Alfa during a public appearance after The Smoking Gun revealed Alfa had been an informant, aka a “snitch” in the past. Tip is currently serving a 366-day sentence in a federal prison as a result of information provided by a “snitch”.
Looks like Alfa is giving Tip a one week deadline to clear the air, and squash the beef – or Alfa’s gonna come at Tip on wax lyrically.
AlfaMega promises no rappers will be harmed in this beef.

Dear TIP,
Hopefully, this letter will find you in the very best of spirits. With that being said, let’s get
straight to the point. You once said, “… Ay, I don’t talk behind a nigga back I say it in his
face.” Well, consider this letter as me showing you my face.Continue Reading….
Now, ya’ll know I couldn’t care less about basketball, but when native Detroiter (and current Xavier guard) Jordan Crawford dunks on NBA superstar Lebron James at James’ own basketball camp, and Nike breaks it’s neck to confiscate the tapes in an attempt to cover it all up – it gets my attention.
Good for you, Chris!
It’s obvious that he’s reading from a prepared statement, but that’s ok. It takes a real man to stand (sit) in front of the public eye and admit his mistakes – so many men won’t admit their mistakes in private. Chris just grew up in my eyes.
…errybody got one!
Well, this is mine. I posted on Chris Brown’s Chrihannagate plea deal yesterday without offering an opinion. That’s cause I needed to really think about it.
My first reaction was to feel sorry for Chris, and I still do. Not because he’s now a convicted felon, and has to do 180 days (8 hrs per) of hard labor – but because that one moment in time will affect him for the rest of his life. Can’t vote. Can’t carry a weapon. Can’t get a real job (as if he needs one, lol). This is major.
Now, I personally believe there is no good reason for a man to hit a woman. None. And though I don’t believe Chris Brown is a serial “woman-beater” YET, I’m guessing it only takes a couple times for it to become a habit. In that sense – the punishment is good for him. Hopefully he won’t raise his hands to another woman.
But it pains me that so many young men don’t understand the long-term consequences of their actions. One moment can change your entire life. That’s why it’s so important to think before you act. There’s always an alternative to violence, and criminal activity.
Yeah, Rihanna may have hit him first – but Chris is the convicted felon now- not Riri. You can’t control someone else’s actions – you can only control yours.
Just think first, ok?
