UPDATE: Police have cofirmed the identity of the body found in the white SUV as that of 7 year-old Julian King. Our worst fears have been confirmed.

My heart goes out to the Hudson family. I can’t even imagine how I’d cope with a tragedy of this magnitude. To the family: Please draw strength from knowing God is with you in your time of need. HE loves you, and will provide comfort in the days to come. I know it’s hard to believe it now, but strength and comfort will come. And know that your loved ones are at peace.

Jennifer Hudson’s 7-yr.-old nephew Julian King is still missing. William Balfour - Hudson’s brother-in-law, and the suspect in the shooting deaths of Jennifer Hudson’s mother Darnell, and brother Jason has been turned over to  the Illinois Department of Corrections for parole violations. Balfour has refused to reveal the whereabouts of Julian King.

In the meantime, Barack Obama has issued a statement offering his condolences to Hudson’s family.

“Michelle and I were absolutely heartbroken to learn about this unimaginable tragedy and we want Jennifer to know that she is in our thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time,” the Illinois senator said. “We also pray for the swift and safe return of her young nephew.”

It’s being reported that Academy Award winning actress/singer Jennifer Hudson’s mother - 57-yr-old Donell Hudson-Donerson, and her brother Jason were found dead in their Chicago home from gunshots. A neighbor discovered the victims, and called the Fire Department. The two were already dead when help arrived at the scene.

UPDATE 6:40 PM ET: An all points bulletin has been issued for a boy, believed to be Hudson’s 7-year-old nephew (right), who may have been taken from the scene. Police are looking for 1994 white Suburban with the license plate X584859.

UPDATE 7:35 PM ET: Police are looking for William Balfour (left), who they claim could be with the missing 7-year-old. According to records, Balfour listed Hudson’s mother’s address as a place of residence within the last year. According to the Illinois Department of Corrections website, Balfour is currently on parole after serving jail time for attempted murder.

UPDATE 8:35 PM ET: Lost in all this is Jennifer’s sister Julia, mother of the missing 7-year-old. We’re told she works as a bus driver in Chicago. Her employer told us she worked her shift today. She hasn’t been seen since.

UPDATE 9:20 PM ET: A WBBM reporter is saying that neighbors have said a family member in the Hudson household apparently tried to steal a car a few weeks ago, an argument ensued, and he vowed revenge. A photo on Julia’s MySpace page (bottom) posted prior to today’s events alludes to some kind of dispute with William over a car.

R&B singer Lyfe Jennings was arrested today for busting shots in an a Smyrna, Georgia neighborhood, then fleeing the scene. From TMZ:

Smyrna, Ga. police tell us they were responding to a gunshots fired call when they spotted Jennings’ Vette hightailing it away from the scene. A chase ensued and Jennings eventually crashed. He was charged with felony weapon possession by a convicted felon. and he faces charges of attempting to elude, as well as discharging a firearm near a public highway and refusing to take the sobriety test.

Lyfe — real name Chester — was in prison from 1992-2002 after being convicted of arson. [source]

*sigh*  And rappers had been doing so good, lately…EDITED to say: i’m so used to rappers being arrested, i forgot THIS guy actually sings!

Apparently Yung Berg approached Grand Hustle artist Maino (above) at Club Pure in Atlanta - saying he “heard Maino was talkin’ reckless about him”.  And Maino - being the grown man that he is - smacked the poor boy.

Maino spoke to Jenny Boom-Boom about the altercation - stating Yung Berg is a good kid, and he still likes him - but he had to discipline him for steppin’ to him wrong. Yung Berg STAY getting his little light-butt checked!

In all seriousness, though - Maino handled it well. He checked the boy, accepted the apology from Yung Berg’s camp, and life goes on.  Says he even let YB keep his chain…

I’m really not impressed with this guy, and I’m so tempted to say something like: “I guess he IS as stupid as he sounds/looks”, or “maybe he thinks that weapons charge will give him some street cred”, but I won’t. Mommy used to say “If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all”, and I really do try to live by those words…

I’ve got a folder full of celeb musgshots on my computer - mostly of DMX - and this idiot is the only one smiling. Gotta wonder if he thinks it’s funny. Also gotta wonder who picked out the windowpane dress shirt. Kwame - you clearly need to step up your game.

Ok, so I was over at Necole Bitchie - reading about the incident at JD’s star-studded party in the ATL last night. Apparently some shots were fired, or sumthin  - so I went looking to TMZ for updates. According to TMZ:

According to law enforcement sources, things got violent when club patrons heard private security hired to work inside the club were double charging people to get into the VIP area — where stars like Usher, Diddy and Nelly were partying.
Cops say pushing and shoving broke out, and as the masses were being thrown outside, that’s when a shot rang out. A security guard was treated for a shot in the arm, but has already been released from the hospital.

I never read the comments on TMZ, but something made me scroll down to the straight-up, racist ignance that was going on in the comments of that post. Ish was all kinds of wrong. And some of it was just wrong.

I won’t quote them - you can feel free to read them for yourself. But I would like to say this - TMZ commenters: Ok - we get it . You think Black people are animals who don’t know how to behave in public. Rappers (read Black men) and guns go hand-in-hand - you’re not surprised this happened. This is why you move out of the neighborhood when Blacks move in. Oh, and to the Black young lady who doesn’t party with Black people because Black people don’t know how to act - Good for you. You so progressive.

Actor Shia Labeouf was arrested, and held on DUI charges after a car accident last night. According to TMZ:

LaBeouf was involved in a car accident at about 3:00 AM at the corner of La Brea and Fountain in Hollywood. Paramedics were called to the scene and both parties were taken to a local hospital.
LaBeouf was placed under arrest on suspicion of felony DUI after we’re told he exhibited “outward signs” of intoxication at the scene.

We know Shia LaBeouf from “Transformers”, “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull”, and “Even Stevens” - to name a few of his projects. Oh, and from his last DUI arrest.
