Christina Milian + The Dream = VIBE’s final cover
From VIBE’s Editor In Chief Danyel Smith:
On behalf the VIBE CONTENT staff (the best in this business), it is with great sadness, and with heads held high, that we leave the building today. We were assigning and editing a Michael Jackson tribute issue when we got the news. It’s a tragic week in overall, but as the doors of VIBE Media Group close, on the eve of the magazine’s sixteenth anniversary, it’s a sad day for music, for hip hop in particular, and for the millions of readers and users who have loved and who continue to love the VIBE brand. We thank you, we have served you with joy, pride and excellence, and we will miss you.

Vigil to be held Sunday to Honor Michael Jackson
Detroiters (and everybody else) - the Motown Museum is holding a candlelight vigil for Michael Jackson at the place where Michael & the Jackson Five got their start – right here in Motown.
The tribute will take place Sunday (tomorrow), 8pm, at historic Hitsville USA – the place where all the Motown classics were recorded. According to the Motown Museum, Hitsville USA has received a record number of visitors since Michael’s death – all coming together to celebrate Michael’s life and legacy.

Who’s Lovin’ You?
The J5 sing “Who’s Lovin’ You”. Yeah, I know I’m reachin’ for the oldies, but this is the MJ I loved…

Remembering Michael Jackson…
Having grown up listening to (and being in love with) the Jackson 5 I remember watching Mike and the guys perform “I Want You Back” on their “Goin’ Back To Indiana” special back in the day, but it seems like it was just yesterday. Funny how time flies.
Little Mike was such a cutie, but Marlon was my crush

The Sadness…
The King of Pop – Michael Jackson – is dead at age 50. CNN is reporting Michael suffered cardiac arrest, and was dead when the ambulance arrived. No statement yet from the Jackson family.
Please forgive the short post – I’m still having a hard time believing this. I’ll post updates as they become available.
Rest in Peace, Michael.
