Diddy needs his butt whooped for this one. Kim Porter, too - if she knew about it. So inappropriate. And doesn’t Diddy have another daughter?

Some madame claims that Will Smith paid her to have sex with a male escort, so now everybody’s screaming “Will Smith Dragged Out of the Closet”.
“According to a former Hollywood Madame, actor Will Smith is gay and hired her two male prostitutes. The Madame, who moved her business to New York, tells Ian Halperin that Smith “has swung both ways for years” and was one of her regular clients. The unidentified woman claims that Smith, who has two children with wife Jada Pinkett Smith, “placed his order” for a man after he trusted that she could “guarantee discretion.” “I had to reassure him over and over that I could guarantee discretion,” she said. “Once I convinced him I could, he placed his order. It was for a man. I had 14 women working for me and two guys. You’d be surprised at how many Hollywood stars requested the services of the guys.”
WTF? Do we believe everything we read? If Bishop Don Juan (or Ice T) claimed Michelle Obama requested a service from one of their “ladies” - would we believe it? [source]
So, I come across this video on AverageBro of this guy who’s posted a sign on his front lawn proclaiming “Obama - Half-Breed Muslin”. So, this guy only approves of full-breed muslin? what an idiot!
I was blog surfing, and came across this comment from Aretha Franklin in response to Tina Turner’s comment about the size of Aretha’s ego:
“I have always appreciated what Tina Turner has to offer and had quietly cheered her on after Ike and her subsequent success. However, with respect to her statement concerning my ego (in saying, ‘Her ego must be so big to think she was the only one … that’s how queens are’) clearly she was talking about herself as she described herself as the ‘Queen of Rock’ and saying ‘that’s what Queens do’ — particularly since she does not have a clue as to who I am in view of the fact that we have never met.
“I never figured her to resort to tacky press just to sell a few tickets. I understand and I know that the concert market is down where ticket sales are concerned. I really had put her in a different class — higher than that.
“Finally, no one has been more gracious or complimentary to their peers than I have and I am confident and secure enough to do so, unlike some others. I wish Ms. Turner all the best, as I always have. Perhaps one day we will meet.”-
Here’s what Tina Turner said:
“Aretha has always been like that. We’ve always accepted that from her. She’s the queen of soul, and I’m the queen of rock ‘n’ roll. *snaps finger* There were so many kings and queens there that night. Her ego must be so big to think she was the only one. That’s how queens are!” (quote source)
This was all started by a reporter asking Aretha how she felt when Beyonce referred to Tina Turner as the “Queen” during an awards show intro. Unfortunately, Aretha bought into it, and told the reporter she was “offended”. Then all hell broke loose on the internet, with people making derogatory comments about Aretha’s weight, age, and the size of her breasts. Yet no one has stated the obvious - Beyonce started this ish.
Beyonce referred to Tina as the “Queen”, and where I come from - that can only mean one of three people: Queen Elizabeth, Martha Jean - ”The Queen” (R.I.P.), or the Queen of Soul - Miss Aretha Franklin. I personally have never heard anyone refer to Tina Turner as the “Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll”, but if that’s what Beyonce MEANT, then that’s what Beyonce should have SAID.
Aretha responded quite graciously, I thought. But then everybody and they mama had to step in and defend Miss Bey, and attack Aretha’s appearance. People - it ain’t that deep. Leave Aretha Franklin alone. She has more than paid her dues. Can’t we let her just sit on her throne and get some much-deserved rest? If it ain’t one thing, it’s another - I swear…

Complete ignorance. So, Puffy - how many times can you call women “b!tches” in one song? Real nice.
Since I’d spent Wednesday, Thursday, and the better part of Friday in bed sick -I thought I’d venture out on Saturday to check out the International JazzFest at Campus Martius & Hart Plaza, in Downtown Detroit. Had to drive out to Grosse Pointe Woods to pick up my big sister, and little nephew first.
Stopped at the bank at the intersection of Mack and Warren - then headed out Warren towards I-94. Well, I was all prepared to make that right off Warren onto Cadieux when I spotted the gentlemen selling the Sunday paper. The headline was screaming something about a plea deal offer made by Kwame Kilpatrick - so I stopped turning to reach in my pocket for a dollar to buy the paper.
Apparently the driver behind me didn’t appreciate that I wasn’t in a rush to make the light, and began to blow her horn - repeatedly. That’s not uncommon in Detroit, so I just ignored her and continued my inconsiderate transaction. Yeah - I knew it was inconsiderate.
Anyway - as I pass the paper guy the dollar I notice the passenger in the car behind me getting out to approach my car. He appeared to be a rather well-fed, not necessarily law-abiding citizen - but I still didn’t move. I doubt if 5 seconds had passed between the light turning green and this guy getting out the car. We both still had plenty of time to make the light. I wasn’t scared. We were still pretty close to the Pointes, and trust me, some kind suburbanite would have taken his picture, written down his license plate, and called 911 before the guy managed to kill EVERYBODY in the car.
So I get my paper, give the chick in the other car the finger, and I drive off. But I have to ask - what the hell is wrong with people today? Was it really worth getting THAT bent out of shape over a light you were still going to make? And what was this guy thinking when he got out of the car? Was he going to cuss me out? Kick a whole in my car? Shoot me? (actually, shoot my sister - he was approaching on the passenger side).
Did I mention girlfriend could have gone around my car at any time? Was it really THAT deep? Would I have been just as upset if I had been kept waiting? Would you? Keep me honest, here.
…I’m home sick for the 2nd day, and I’m really feeling like crap. Now, on the off-chance I’m not feeling any better tomorrow - can I wear my pj’s to work? I’ll pair ‘em with a nice jacket, and some loafers, and it’ll be ok. You’ll see, RR. Please don’t send me home. If Michael Jackson can wear this outfit to Planet Hollywood, doesn’t that make it ok? After all, he is a role model.
Jay Stones - Yung Berg’s self-proclaimed dark-butt twin - is mad at Trick Trick and Co. for the YB beatdown, and wants Detroit rappers to know it’s ’bout to go down when they come to the Chi. And I’m just shakin’ my damn head.
The whole thing is stupid, and I bet every one of these grown-ass men - including the D-town Chain Snatchers - got kids. Way to set an example, gentlemen.
…but was it really necessary to beat him up, and snatch his Transformers medallion? I hear Yung Berg was in town this weekend, and got jumped at a club by some rappers for having made derogatory remarks about Detroit rappers in the past.
I’m guessing this isn’t big news to local media because it hasn’t been mentioned, as far as I know. And for those thinking it’s because random beatdowns are a common occurrence in the D - I beg to differ. Most violent crime in Detroit (and other cities, I’m sure) is drug-related, not random. It actually IS safe to go out in public here.
I think Yung Berg is an ass, but I get no real pleasure out of this - although I am surprised the sisters didn’t whip his little butt behind the dark-butt comments. I’ll be honest - I wouldn’t wear a $70,000 medallion to a club in the D (or anywhere else) - especially if I were a well-known idiot like YB. Should be able to without getting beat up, though. Just my opinion.
…yeah - we claim ‘em. I watched the video again, and I do believe they are paying tribute to the ones they’ve lost to street violence. You know - you really have to respect that. So instead of taking shots at the bad production, I’d like to just say R.I.P. to the lost ones. - kim
Original Post: Let me just say this is not a true representation of Detroiters. Most of us can sing hella better than this. Thanks, Sane!
