From News 4: Detroit area vocalists and musicians are being sought to join a national tour with Young Jeezy and Lil Wayne.

The Urban F.L.A.V.A. Company is hosting auditions Monday night for anyone interested in joining the Young Money Presents: America’s Most Wanted Music Festival with Lil Wayne. Auditions will be held from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. at HD Sound in Oak Park.

Tour organizers said they’re looking for male and female vocalists, one guitar player, one saxaphonist and one trumpeter.

All candidates for the paid positions must be at least 18 years old and ready to travel Wednesday. They also must have a valid passport and their own instruments.

The tour kicks off July 27 in Scranton, PA.

Winners of the taped auditions will be announced Tuesday.

Tiny celebrated her 34th birthday with lots of friends at Luckie’s Lounge this weekend, and the incarcerated Kang of da South blessed her with a 10 carat diamond ring, and a diamond tennis necklace.

In a twist on the Motown lie classic “Will Work For Food”, this gentleman sings a tribute to The Temptations somewhere near downtown Detroit – for a Jello shot.

Hip-Hop legend Lauryn Hill is scheduled to perform at Switzerland’s Montreux Jazz Festival on July 19th. Also scheduled to perform are an eclectic group of artists including Raphael Saadiq; Seal; Steely Dan; Babyface; Q-Tip; Mos Def, and many more.

Little David got to see his biological father Yohane Banda while Madonna and the fam are in Malawi awaiting approval to adopt a sister for David. David appears to be a happy, well-adjusted kid. I hope he wasn’t confused at hearing Yohane was his daddy, though he’s probably aware he’s not Madonna’s biological child. There are kid’s books explaining everything these days, you know.

A hearing will be held on Friday to determine if Madonna can adopt a Malawi girl. Yohane talks about his visit with his son after the jump…

Actor Tyrese Gibson/Singer Tyrese/Rapper Black Ty attended the ‘09 Kids’ Choice Awards with his little sweetheart, Shayla.  Speaking of props – isn’t it ironic that Tyrese brings little Shayla out for the photo ops now, when it was just a couple of weeks ago he had to be sued for child support by his ex-wife, Norma?

Hopefully it’s Tyrese’s decision to step up to the plate, and accept responsibility for his seed – not his PR reps. BTW, nothing says ‘I’m hard’ quite the same way a pink diaper bag does. I’m impressed!

According to PEOPLE –  Madonna, daughter Lourdes, and son David arrived in Malawi yesterday to finalize plans to adopt 3-yr-old orphan Mercy James, amid some controvery. If you recall, 3-yr-old David’s biological father Yohane Banda claimed Madonna tricked him, and that he didn’t realized his son’s adoption would be permanent.

Some blog readers have even epressed concern that Madonna (and other White celebs – including Angelina Jolie) are using their adopted African kids as props, if you will. Kinda like the latest LV bag, some say adopted Black kids are one Hollywood’s latest trends.

Do you see this as a problem? Shouldn’t the child’s well-being be the primary concern? I mean, I’ve seen many pics of mini-diva Zahara Jolie-Pitt, and, aside from some serious hairstyle choices (not her fault, I know), she appears to be loved and cared for, and no more of a prop than the rest of the Jolie-Pitt’s brood. On the other hand, it’s hard to imagine Nadiya Suleman being able to provide for her 14 biological kids.
