Quote of the day: Bow Wow’s Mom…

Teresa Caldwell – Lil’ Bow Wow’s mom – is on Twitter, just embarassing her poor little puppy. She’s also spreading a little inspiration:

Women put up with a lot but she won’t allow abusive bhavior to go on forever. Even though women my b submissive n spirit they’re not stupid.

Ladies, don’t we cosign?

Gabrielle Union does MEN’S HEALTH Magazine

Actress Gabriell Union goes nude for Men’s Health Magazine, and is quoted in an article titled “What She’s Saying About You”.

Memorable quote: Control
Gabrielle: “If both people can climax quickly, sex doesn’t need to go on for 2 hours — at some point, Law & Order is coming on! But it’s terrible if a man is 2 minutes and you’re nowhere close.”

Gabby, girl – women all over the world co-sign that! You can read the article here.

Quote of the Day: Maxwell…

(Or –  as some folk might call it – just another random Maxwell post.)

Sorry, but I stans for Maxwell seriously, with no shame at all. Maxwell makes grown folk music that you can listen to without worrying about embarassing your people, ya know?

I still stan hard (harder, maybe?) for Tip – but, man, I ALWAYS have to explain to my sisters and nephews why Dope Boyz, Do It, What’s Yo’ Name, or anything from Trap Muzik is on high rotation in my car.

Maxwell’s music requires no such explanation. It speaks about life, love, relationships – and sex – without painting the whole d@mn picture. Here’s an example as Maxwell sings about being alone with his girl in “Stop The World”:

“Let the world rage outside
‘cuz when I’m here with you the world stops for me.
The world stops for me.
And then extraordinary, ordinary things – things I can’t explain in subtext.
The world stops for me.
And girl, you know just what I mean – I need you, girl.
Sing me a song, sing it soft, sing it long, – girl, stop my world.”

That’s what I’m talking about. With one simple phrase we KNOW what’s happening. No pokin’ her face, pullin’ on her weave, or talking about which end he wants to hit it from – just “I can’t explain it in subtext, but girl, you know what I mean”. Real simple.

Just the way grown folk like it.

Quote of the Day: THEflyGIRL

This is what THEflyGIRL had to say concerning Chris Brown’s “I Ain’t A Monster” video:

Here is what we know thus far, whether or not it was a mutual fight, his own self defense or some blind rage – despite how Rihanna ended up looking like someones punching bag – Brown has hurt the feelings of a lot of young girls that keep his records on the charts and scream his name in arenas around the globe. I think he owes them a little more than ‘I’m not a monster’. And until he does that he may not come off as a monster, but he sure is looking a lot like an ass.

Thanks, FG – I so co-sign!
