This health conscious snack was introduced to the US market earlier this fall and is currently offered in most Starbucks locations. In addition, product has plans to soon expand to other major retailers like Whole Foods and Amazon.
For those unfamiliar with this tasty offering, Hippeas are low-calorie, gluten-free and non-GMO puffs developed from the underrated chick-pea. In 2015, he combined his passion for health with his experience in the food industry and introduced Hippeas under his company Green Park Brands.
Green Park Brands (www.greenparkbrands.com) has found tremendous success in its short lifespan. The company’s overall goal is to lead a positive and healthy change in the food industry and Hippeas has been the first step in launching the brand. The partnership with Starbucks has served as a huge factor in Hippeas success and the company looks forward to future partnerships with other powerhouse retailers.
In addition, the company is highly philanthropic. The young company has partnered with Farm Africa, a non-profit organization working to end hunger in eastern Africa. For every Hippeas pack sold, the brand shares a portion of the sales with African chick pea farmers with the hopes that the farmers will be able to use the funding to get out of poverty and invest in their local communities.
Overall, Hippeas is making waves in the snacking community. The product’s strong, philanthropic brand is changing the landscape for snackers across the globe. Green Park Brands and Livio Bisterzo will be a dominant force in the market for many years to come, so next time you’re needing a salty treat, consider one of Hippeas six fabulous flavorings!
