With the bottled water business now a 100 billion dollar industry, there are hundreds of different bottled water options to chose from. Chances are, even your local grocery store has its own brand of water on its store shelves. There is pure water, flavored water, vitamin water, mineral water and even a few more obscure choices.
If a company doesn’t have an innovative product to sell, the chances are against them when it comes to becoming a success. The innovation can be in packaging, production, flavors, health benefits or other creative ways. The bottom line is, if you want to sell bottled water you need something to make you stand out from the crowd.
Introducing Waiakea Water
Ryan Emmons was able to turn a simple idea he had while visiting family in Hawaii into a multi-million dollar company. During his time spent in Hawaii, he witnessed several natural volcano rock structures around the idea. He discovered that many of these formations served as natural filtration processes for spring water.
Simply by creating a bottled water that is packaged in Hawaii is almost enough to guarantee a successful product. When people see a food product based of Hawaii they are instantly reminded of the healthy and laid back life style of Hawaii’s civilization. Just by putting a Hawaiian word on the packaging, people believe that the water is healthy.
Of course, they wouldn’t be wrong. Waiakea Water is one of the healthiest bottled waters on the market today. The water is filtered through 14,00 feet of porous volcanic rock and this causes the water to be supplemented with a wide variety of minerals like potassium, calcium and magnesium. This makes up the majority of volcano water benefits.
A side-effect of the presence of healthy minerals is a slight increase in PH value. Normal water has a complete neutral PH value of 7, Waiakea’s water has a value sometimes as high as 8. The increased PH value is nothing more than a result of the natural benefits that come along with the volcanic rock filtration process.
Raised in the State of Iowa by his parents who were middle-class farmers, David McDonald loved agriculture from childhood. This would later come to be his career after graduating from Iowa State University with Bachelor’s degree in animal science. Today David is the COO and President of OSI Group.

The group’s intention is to exploit and expand China’s poultry industry and make it the largest in China. This saw the group supply its poultry products during the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
In the year 2012, the company under the leadership of David expanded Poland’s beef processing factory by 30%.This expansion led to an increase in production which raised the revenue margins for the company. Besides Poland, David led in the expansion of other facilities in the world like Geneva and Hungary.
Under David McDonald’s tutelage, the company announced its acquisition of Baho Foods in 2016. This is a Dutch company that processes meat products and distributes to the retail chains like restaurants. Its distribution chain cuts across 18 countries in Europe. According to David, adding Baho Foods to OSI Group broadens their presence in the European meat market.
All these OSI Group success stories have come under the leadership of David. To make OSI Group successful, McDonald has made sure that each of the 17 regional offices has a management team with a clear understanding of local customers’ needs, their taste and culture.

The Needs Of The Fast Food Industry
The fast food industry is worth billions of dollars and operates around the world. This isn’t something that happens easily and there are people behind this success. OSI Group is an example of those who make it possible for the fast food industry to do what it does. The meat processing company gives some of the most popular fast food chains the meat they need in order to run on a daily basis. They have even gone further than that and now provide frozen dough and vegetables for companies in need.
A Century Of Success
OSI has been around for more than a century. It was originally founded in 1909 by a German immigrant who wanted to start his own business in America. He went from simply hiring his own sons to handle much of the business to creating a corporation. From that point on his sons took over the business and tried their hardest to turn it into something even greater than they imagined. This is what got us the OSI Group that we know of today and the success we’ve seen today.
Where The Future Is Headed
The future of fast food is clearly going to include OSI Group. They have already helped it so much. There is a world of potential for innovating in the meat processing industry and there is certainly going to be a need for more workers. OSI Group has succeeded because they understand what customers want and their workers needs. This has allowed them to become a company worth more than $6 billion and they continue to climb in profits. There is a revolution in the fast food industry and it was led by OSI Group all the way through.

Being the proud owner of a 12 year old German Shepard named Beaux I am always glad that my local PetSmart has a wide selection of Beneful’s delicious and nutritious dog foods.
Whether it be dry beef or chicken flavors, Beneful’s prepared meals, Chopped Blends Senior formula or healthy weight food I am looking to feed Beaux this go around, I always get it from PetSmart. I personally enjoy supporting a pet supplier with my purchase rather than other large retailers. Also the prices are unbeatable, at my local PetSmart I can pick up a bag of Incredibites for only $6.79! Or 12.5 lbs or grain-free food with farm-roasted chicken for $19.99. Beaux’s favorite bag weighing it at 31.1 lbs of Purina Beneful original beef flavored adult dry dog food costs me less than $24.00!
That gets me almost as excited as Beaux does when I walk his Beneful in the house from my car. And on top of all that, there are so many Beneful coupons to discount the cost even further. Sites like Groupon, and the PetSmart website itself are a good place to start when looking for deals and coupons. Always remember to ask a store customer service representative for coupons when you visit PetSmart. I know he wouldn’t want me to switch back to generic dog food, and I never will.
