Desiree Perez and the Future of Roc Nation

In 2008 the celebrated rapper Jay Z signed into the joint venture enterprise Live Nation, a major promotional resource for some of the biggest names in the entertainment world. This $150 million deal includes two major aspects of the music business, signing musicians up for key tour dates and recorded music sessions. In essence, Live Nation has been a collaboration between management teams and the creative artists for the past several years. The successful enterprise has been a prime force in the careers of Shakira, Kanye West, Rihanna, and many others.

The buzz in the music industry is that Jay Z is moving forward with promotional plans for his recording company, Roc Nation. His executive business partner, Desiree Perez, has been a driving force in negotiation deals for Jay Z and Roc Nation for at least ten years.
