ANTM’s Eva the Diva (love that nickname!) had this to say on The Obama Effect. To UPSCALE Magazine:

“If you have had a positive exaple and inspiration in front of you, you are more likely to succeed than someone who has had a negative example. So, when you have people like Barack Obama winning this presidency, that alone shows all these little kids that “I look just like him and that guy looks like my dad, and we’ve had the same struggles, and he isn’t from an elitist society, so I can do this.”

So true. It’s one thing to tell little Black kids “you can be president” when the president looks like a Kennedy. But when the president looks like your Dad, and his wife looks like your Mom, and their kids look like YOU – the dream becomes a vision, and having a vision trumps having a dream everyday of the week.
