I’m seriously feelin’ Michelle Obama right now. Not only is she the wife of the 44th President of the United States, she is an example (I hope) for all Black women. Michelle Obama is classy, polished, and accomplished in her own right. And as much as that impresses me, I’m even more impressed by the values which she exemplfies.

She loves and supports her husband. She’s raised beautiful, well-spoken, intelligent children who have a sense of their own identity.  She allows her light to shine without overpowering the light of her husband. Plus, she is a LADY. I love all these things about her.

America’s young Black women, let’s strive to follow the First Lady’s example, and dress like ladies, not strippers. To insist men treat us as ladies - instead of b*tches & h*es who would trade our bodies and souls for jewelry, gas, and a car note. To educate ourselves, and be an asset to our families, our communites, AND our husbands. To raise our children to love themselves, and be respectful of others.

If just one of us changes – that’s change we can believe in. [pic source]
