And here’s some music from the group “Switch”. El didn’t perform with Switch, but it was this group – El’s older brothers – that brought the Debarge family talent to the spotlight.

For the longest I thought the person on the intro to this song was a girl. I couldn’t imagine a male voice that high.

You can’t deny the talent within the Debarge family. It’s a shame their careers were sidelined by a long history of drug-related arrests. El’s brother Chico did a stretch in prison on drug charges. Chico was able to resurrect his singing career once he got out of jail. Hopefully El will be able to do the same.
