From StreetCred.com:

T.I. voted today (October 29) for the first time in Georgia joining millions of Americans who, in eligible states, are participating in early voting.

TI is the national spokesperson of the Respect My Vote! non-partisan Get Out The Vote initiative, created by Reverend Lennox Yearwood, Jr. and the Hip Hop Caucus (HHC).

The “king of the south” had previously thought he was ineligible for voting due to his past legal troubles but after further research discovered that he was still eligible to cast a ballot.

“Feels like I’ve taken advantage of my right to become a part of the democracy,” declared T.I. “It was definitely worth standing in line and doing all the things people complain about voting. I think it’s more than worth it.”

T.I. took advantage of a Georgia voting loophole which states a convicted felon can vote if he is not currently incarcerated, or on probation. T.I. pleaded guilty earlier this year to federal weapons charges, and is expected to begin serving a 1-year sentence in early 2009.
