…luckily, Kwame can tap the Detroit taxpayers to pay his legal fees.

Of the $185,000.00 donated to pay for Kwame’s defense – almost $165,000.00 of it has been spent. If that’s not bad enough – the fund has announced it will return $4,500 dollars to 2 donors – one of whom is associated with a strip club(!).
According to the Free Press:

Kilpatrick’s attorneys and public relations people said again Wednesday no public money is being used to defend the mayor on several civil and criminal legal fronts, including the multiple felony charges, in the fallout from the text-message scandal.

In case the mayor has exhausted all of his fund-raising options – here’s one that’s never been done before: Hold a strip party at the Manoogian Mansion (cheaper than renting a club), and invite all of Detroit’s law enforcement, and political elite. Invite the beat cops, too.

Get things poppin’ with a couple of really talented “dancers”, and charge $5.00/head – I mean, $5.00/person. Set your own price for all the little “extras”. As much as our cops like the girls – you’ll raise TONS of money for your legal defense, and solve all of your financial problems. Might even be able to break Christine off a lil’ somethin’, as well – just to help a sista out.

One word of advice, though – send the wife out of town, first. Ok?
