In Columbus, Mississippi Sen. Barack Obama dispelled any suggestion that he’d accept second place in the Democratic race. “I am not running for vice-president, I am running for President of the United States”, Sen. Obama stated.
The Senator also wondered “how somebody who is in second place is offering the vice-presidency to the person who is in first place”. Obama’s comments were in response to Sen. Hillary Clinton’s suggestion that there could be a “dream team” ticket of Clinton/Obama in the presidential race.
